Open to casual and contract jobs involving writing, editing, proofreading, copywriting and graphic design. Pitch me your problem to be solved, and we can take it from there. Currently I work part-time for Giramondo (proofing titles, managing their socials, helping out generally with this and that), and review theatre and gigs as a freelancer for the Sydney Morning Herald.

A note

If you're an artist or producer who is wanting me to review your show, here's the deal.

• You can make a request via the form on this page. 

• If I do agree to come along, I will only publish a review if I have an overall positive experience. Feels unfair to both of us otherwise.

• If I write something, naturally there is still a chance I’ll have some critical things to say. Two Cents isn’t a go-to for free publicity.

• Also, if I do publish a piece, I'll send you the link when it’s live. Please be patient. I know reviews can be important, but Two Cents isn't worth much. A week is the average turnaround time, give or take. 

• If you don't hear from me after I’ve agreed to consider your show for review, assume my experience was not an overall positive one, and let's just leave it at that.

• Magicians need not apply.*

Sorry to be so persnickety. Managing this process can be painful, and this is the best approach I've come up with. 

I’m on the indie panel for the Sydney Theatre Awards in 2026 (for the fourth year running), so please do send a non-reviewing invite if you’d like me to consider your show for nomination.

Lastly, if you want to put my name forward to a publication (that pays its writers) for an interview or review, go for it. My bank account hasn't gone up since 2021.
